There is no shortage of Forex trading systems that are being promoted out there on the internet and in money making workshops in hotel conference rooms all around the world. There are many good trading systems I’m sure, but I am also sure that there are also a lot there many that are just plain frauds. And then there is a third category, trading systems that work, but are complicated to use. This is what I’d like to focus on here.
I can’t say that I know all of the good Forex day trading strategies and systems that are out there. And I won’t make a blanket statement to say that they are all frauds. I’m sure there are some that have legitimate means to make money on the currency market. Here are some tips to help you know which ones are frauds, which ones are legitimate and which ones that may be legitimate but may not be a good fit for you.
First of all, let me start with this statement. There are many free, basic, simple Forex trading systems out there that can legitimately make you a lot of money. Even if you got something simple like moving averages, support and resistance, and MACD and really understood how to use it effectively, these few things could take you a long way in making you money in the Forex market.
That being said, let’s see how we can evaluate more complex systems. Firstly, you should always test them on forex demo accounts before you determine whether they are bad or good. Test them several times in a virtual environment. If you can’t make a paper profit on a demo account, you probably can’t make it in real life.
If you find one that actually works during the tests, makes sure you keep practicing them on a demo account before you actually use it in real life. Every strategy should be sufficiently used on a Forex demo before it is used with real money. It seems like common sense but many eager beaver traders skip this step.
If you follow these tips and pointers for evaluating new and complex trading systems, you will be okay. If you ignore them, you might lose a lot of money, not just on the market but to scammers.
